On our site you will find information to assist you not only with your loved ones but also for the loss of your pet. You will find phrases, quotes and sayings that you can share.  There are many other things that you can do to help your loved ones through this hard time.  During this time, families are often torn with trying to grieve and deal with their normal lives. Sometimes they need help but don’t want to ask for it. There are things you can do to help them get through this tough time.  Below you will find some examples of thoughtful gestures.

The traditional thing most people do is bring homemade meals so the family does not have to think about cooking. This is sometimes over done by so many well wishers but is a very nice gesture.

Flowers are always a way to show someone that you are thinking about them. They are colourful and cheerful and may just brighten their day a little.

Other ways of helping out may include:

Caring for their young children who may not understand what is going on to give the parents some time to themselves.

Cleaning their house or doing daily chores. This may be as simple as picking up the dry cleaning.

Taking care of their animals. Walking their dog.

Small gestures go a long way but each situation is very different. Just don’t be afraid to help out if you feel it is needed. I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated.

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,

and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

Kahlil Gibran
